Notifications
DURUM.ai reaches you in two places: in your Slack workspace (reports, alerts, engine actions, custom messages) and, for some roles, in a notification center inside the app (the bell icon at the top of the screen). This page covers the bell and links to the detailed Slack notifications setup.
The Notifications page (/notifications)
Reachable from the sidebar, group Settings, entry Notifications. Its subtitle reads "Configure your Slack alerts and reports": everything set here goes to Slack. This is where you connect the account's Slack workspace, enable the notification categories (eight displayed, of which five actually send a message: the three reports, performance alerts and engine actions), set the alert thresholds and compose up to 20 custom messages. Preferences are saved per client account; saving is restricted to the super admin, administrator, media buyer and client roles.
Every section, category and trigger is detailed in Slack Notification Configuration.
The in-app notification center (the bell)
A bell icon with a counter (capped at 99+) appears at the top of the screen for agency roles (administrator, media buyer, copywriter, designer, tech dev) and for the client role. Other roles (member, viewer, sales rep, sales director) do not have it.
The panel has two sections: Actions (items that need your attention) and Latest ingestion logs (the five most recent entries of the data intake log). Two buttons: Refresh and Close.
What can show up under Actions:
| Notification | Who | Link |
|---|---|---|
| "Someone mentioned you on a call" | Every role that has the bell | Opens the call (/call/…) |
| N ingestion incident(s) (24h) | Every role that has the bell; a client only sees the incidents of their own account | Data log |
| N pending recommendation(s), N pending ad validation(s) | Administrator, media buyer | DURUM Insight, ad validation |
| N pending matching(s), N quarantined event(s) | Administrator | Data reconciliation |
For a client account, the bell therefore holds its mentions and its intake incidents of the last 24 hours.
Mentions on a call
When a colleague tags you in a call note (see the Calls page), you get a mention. If the tab is visible, a short toast shows in the app; otherwise your browser may show a system notification titled DURUM.ai (permission is requested the first time you open the bell). Clicking the mention opens it and marks it as read.
What is not in the bell
Reports, performance alerts and engine actions do not go through the bell: they land in Slack, according to your settings on the Slack Notification Configuration page. The counter refreshes every two minutes while the tab is visible.
